dissapointing

I went there several times and every time I found myself built up in anticipation of a fun night that never got started. The crowd was dull, the was no energy and the bar staff was polite but languid. I got the impression the place was living off of past glory.

Cute Staff, Fun crowd

We had a blast here. Will be back for sure. Everyone treated us very well and the staff was friendly and provided great service. I love the location and the Saturday catamaran was a blast!

No Big Thrill Anymore

I have to agree with the review right below me. Back in its old location, this placed rocked! I loved being outside under the stars on a warm Waikiki night. But something happened when they moved. Not only is there no outdoor area in the new location, but it just doesn't have the same fun, relaxed feel to it anymore. The strip shows are fine with me, but the crowd just doesn't seem very receptive to them. Hula's is worth a stop, but don't expect too much.

Hula's now a shadow of it's past

Hula's current incarnation is now just a shadow of it's more glorious past when it was at it's old, much larger location. Their hired strippers are barely acceptable and hits up patrons for tips. It's much more pleasant to go in the afternoons when the daylight is coming into the bar and the music is more pleasant and lower volume and low keyed. At night, it's loud, blaring music. There's a couple of Macs or free wi-fi access.

the best gay bar there

this bar war fair to say the least , better then the rest of the gay bars, but all this raaving about beautiful mean and hot bodies, its just false information. From the bartenders to the staff, they are fair at the most. lots of attitude, not enough beauty to back it up. I was sadly diappointed and you will be to.
