What we say
Waikiki's very popular gay beach
Aptly named Queen's Surf is located in Kapiolani Park at the end of Waikiki towards Diamond Head. It's very easy to find, just enter the park from Waikiki and walk along the beach. You'll know when you've found it, but the Beach House snack bar is a good landmark to look for. This is a wide-open public park and therefore, this is not a nude beach.

This is an OK beach if you are staying in Waikiki, but the gay scene is not very hot here anymore. Lots of families have discovered the beach and Kapiolani park behind it. I noticed a few gay men here the last few times I visited, but not enough to maintain its old reputation. Too bad.
Always loved this place. First saw this "treasure" in 1974. Then it was more cruisy and definitely a great place to meet some hot men. Back then everyone would head to the Blowhole for cocktails (lol) after sunbathing, now they head to Hulas. Definitely more families than before but the men still have their stakeouts.
Great beach for gay or straight guys to wear thongs and g-strings. I have seen guys wear g-strings and cammy tops. Not a great beach to make out if same sex because it is also a family beach. If you are a straight guy you could find lots of girls in thongs.
