Diamond Head Beach Park

(21 Ratings)
Unofficial nude beach

This beach is just a few minutes walk past Queen's Surf. From Waikiki, walk along Kalakau Ave, through the park, and follow the signs to Diamond Head. Just north of the lighthouse, you'll see a small road heading down to the beach. Once there, walk all the way to the right to find the "gay section." While nude sunbathing is illegal in Hawaii, you'll see many people here do it anyway.

Worth the walk

I visited this beach in 2011 and will be back in Feb. Great little beach, not crowded but friendly. Park rangers did come through while I was there.

New Favorite Spot

This a great more out of the way beach. Its not usually very crowded at all which is good cuz there is somewhat limited sand space. However there are a number of elevated and more secluded areas that are great for tanning. If you hit the tides right theres a few areas where the waves are broken by rocks for gentle swimming. The crowd is usually sparser and mixed but leans towards over 40 with a few retired regulars. Sometimes its more hit and miss in terms of people than others. Everyone Ive met so far has been very friendly. There are usually also surfers and such further east on the beach where there is a water fountain and an open shower to rinse under.

Great to have come out....

I was there on April 2 and 3, 2010...I did enjoy stripping down to my hotpants and tanktop...Loved the feeling of being effeminate..Jest a few guys there...They snuck a look but, didn't make an advance....I was so in the mood to be felt up, looked at, and even screwed, but it didn't happen...Enjoyed being there anyways...

Aloha

What a great little beach. And there js no doubt you are on a gay beach. I hiked diwn from tgecparking area and spread my towel and stripped to my speedo, stretched out and doaked up the rays. I always enjoy being cruised and a really hot local stopped to talk and sample. Wearing a speedo i felt like tge most fully clothed person on the beach. Next time a thong or string will be more to my way of thinking.

Fun! But Go at Low Tide!

This is a fairly small beach area, and it pretty much disappears at high tide, so try to time your visit for low tide. It's fun, but there are not a lot of people here. Nude sunbathing is illegal in Hawaii, and I've heard that the police patrol here from time to time. So be prepared to cover up fast, just in case. Another way to get to this small beach is to park in the parking area on Diamond Head Road, then hike down to the beach near the lighthouse, turn right and look for naked men!
