Close to beach
This property was taken over by Marriott a few years ago and they have done good at adopting their brand as best as could be expected I guess, still it lacks that something I have liked about Marriott. Its close enough to beach, but what Marriott could have done if it was oceanfront. Rooms are nice and comfortable but again average. Unfortunatley the balconies are at such an angle that you don't get the impact you could if hotel was built with a better view of wither ocean or mountains. View is not awful but it is obstructed by surrounding towers on many levels. Lobby is nice and open with the breezes that Hawaii is famous for.
Great service
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff, afordable price and excellent location.
Nice Waikiki Beach Resort
This resort is located directly across the street from Waikiki Beach, and has a prime location at the eastern end of Waikiki. The hotel consists of two towers. I recommend that you choose the tower closer to Waikiki Beach, and ask for a room with an ocean view or partial ocean view. I've stayed here 3 times, and I think the hotel is very good, but doesn't rank up there as excellent. There is a section of their parking garage that is self-park, which I prefer. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Hula's Bar, the only gay bar in Waikiki.
