Very friendly, great sun deck, close to Kehena clothing optional beach, Uncle's Awa Bar with fun wednesday festival, live music, hot food vendors, arts and crafts, gay owned bakery. Near waterfalls, botanical gardens, volcano national park, and the newest beaches on the planet. Awesome outdoor shower. Fun guests. And now they have an amazing Oceanfront Bali-style Hut. Highly recommend. Voted best value in gay Hawaii travel!

Awesome area of "REAL HAWAI'I". Clean, comfortable, excellent Value!

Clean, very comfortable, awesome organic fruit, great location. Cell service! And drinkable municipal water (not like many places in the area which use rainwater from the roof). Amazing views of hot lava on the hillside. Wednesday market with live music at Uncle's Awa Bar a short walk from Gay Hawaii B&B is a must. Clothing optional beach is fun!

Active Lava,Clothing Optional Beach, Gay Community

Awesome Gay Guest House in Kalapana, Big Island, Hawaii. 3 BRs, large sunny deck, perfect location. Cell phones DO work (some Big Island places don't have cell service). Drinkable water. Close to active lava flow! Private, black sand beaches. Clothing optional Kehena Beach. Walk from GHGH to Kalpana Cafe (try fresh ono fish filet), Uncle Robert's Awa Bar (beer, wine, awa). Wed night Market with hot food, arts & crafts vendors, live music - very festive and active! True "OLD HAWAI'I" style experience!
