Love Makes A Family: A Community Gathering in Support of Marriage Equality

Come out and show your support for Marriage Equality! This gathering is to give all the different groups, organizations, and individuals a chance to come together before the start of the Special Session and recharge our batteries!! If history has taught us anything we know the hearings for the Marriage Equality bill will be long and we will hear things that will cause us pain and stress - so to help get everyone through the hearings we will need our strength! 12:00 PM: Brown Bag Picnic and Community Fair Along with voter registration, sign waving & helpful tools to contact legislators!! Plus much more 2:00 PM: Official Program Begins Entertainment by our headliner - Willie K! & Gay Men's Chorus of Honolulu, SATBQ The Women's Chorus of Honolulu & other surprise guests. With special guest speakers like: Ariyaphon Southiphong (Andy South), State Rep. Chris Lee, Andrea Anderson of Planned Parenthood of Hawaii, Rev. Jonipher Kwong of First Unitarian Church of Honolulu, Jami Makaehu of United Public Workers AFSCME Local 646 AFL-CIO, & other surprise guests! We will also be collecting donations for the Hawaii FoodBank because with the government shutdown and the holidays right around the corner the Foodbank will need donations!
