Queen's Beach

(19 Ratings)
Popular gay beach

Located in Kapiolani Park at the end of Waikiki, towards Diamond Head, this stunning tropical escape is an ideal spot to sunbathe and relax. It's easy to find - just enter the park from Waikiki and walk along the beach. The Beach House Snack Bar is a good landmark to look for and offers a laid-back place to grab a bite. No nudity here unfortunately, but the warm waters and soft sands make up for that.

Queens Surf used to be very gay but not so much anymore. Since I go to Hawaii every year I recognize the regulars who live there and some recognize me. I asked one of the local regulars where all the cute young guys are at? He replied; “we all got old.”

Need new gay beach

Barely any gays at Queens Beach when I visited on holiday. Far removed from being able to order a drink on the beach. The gays need to plant a pride flag at the beach in front of the Sheraton and Royal Hawaiian where I saw more gays tanning and playing in the surf. Ran into even more at the beachfront bar at the Royal.

Gay area is in the grass now

Apparently this used to be the happening place for gays. The beach has been assimilated with straight families and seems to be a popular launching point for surfing/body boarding classes. You'll usually see the gays hanging out in the grassy area under the trees on the right side of the cafe.

Still gays here

Went several times while on vacation in December. Saw about a 50 to 70% gay population on the beach or grass. Not crowded at all this time of year. Had many a swim from this beach. Look forward to going here again when we return next year. With a surfboard!

Not that good anymore

visit every year and this used to be a hot beach with hot guys and in the bathroom/changing area i occassionally saw guys playing but not anymore. It's mostly str8 and LOTS of homeless tents there now. Wouldn't waste my time. Usually end up at the beach under the lighthouse. It's considered the nude beach but that's not really the case anymore either. Occasionally you'll see a guy nude but for most part it's either speedo's, beach shorts or thongs. Some areas you can still cruise and hook up but be careful because lots of str8's and families are starting to go there.
