What we say
Secluded private nude beach
Traveling north from the airport on Highway 56, past Kapaa, drive 1/3 of a mile past mile marker 11 (the second dirt road on the right). You should see cars parked along the road. You'll have to hike down the cane road. As you get close to the water stay left and climb over to the beach. The far end is the nude beach and the gay area. Trees surround the beach if you need to take a break from the sun. There are no facilities here, so bring along anything you might need and clean up after you go. There are some reports that the owners of the land have hired security guards to stop nude sunbathing, let us know your experience.

Back in Waikiki my bf and I picked up a gay directory for the Hawaiian islands. Needless to say...when we visited Kuai and tried visiting Donkey Beach we found ourselves trespassing through private property. A cop almost arrested us!!! HEY GAY BOYS, DONKEY BEACH IS A NO MORE!
The lands immediately surrounding the beach is now part of the County's park system. A bike/pedestrian path is going in along what was once the old dirt haul cane road. There's even a parking lot and restroom up above near the highway where you start your little hike down to the beach.
It's still a beautiful beach! But, it's not very secluded anymore. Gays & nudists have probably already found a different spot!
So, what do you say?
